Most people think of swinging a hammer when they think about volunteering for Habitat. Yet, due to the tremendous amount of planning and management required to build just one home, we have a constant need for committee members and volunteers to help with various other tasks.  You don't need to be an expert in any of these fields to help out!

Immediate Volunteer Opportunities

ReStore Committee
Help us with the opening of the new ReStore!

Photographers
Assist us in taking photos to be published in our quarterly newsletter and on the website.

Lunch Coordinators
Coordinate with churches and businesses for lunch donations.

General Office Assistance
Help us with basic office duties such as answering the phone, filing, and mail-outs.

Construction Committee
Decide on policies for the construction of present and future Habitat for Humanity homes.

Church Relations Committee
Works toward building partnership opportunities and communications between Huntington Area Habitat and area faith groups.

Family Selection Committee
Assist with the selection of homeowners into Huntington Area Habitat's program.

Family Support Committee
Maintain the partnership created with the families during and after the home building process.

Volunteer Services Committee
Discusses the various aspects of volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition.

Land Aquisition Committee
Help find property in desirable locations at affordable prices.
