Carpenter's Club

Welcome to the Club

Carpenter’s Club is a group of individuals, families, organizations and businesses committed to providing a reliable financial foundation at the outset of each new construction project we undertake. Your support will help to ensure our mission in providing low-income families with an opportunity to obtain safe, decent and affordable housing through 350 hours of sweat equity and an interest-free 20-year mortgage loan.

Since its founding in 1990, Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity has  averaged the completion of 4 Habitat houses each year. Last year we completed 4 houses. While that is great, the number of  people in our community living in poverty grows, and the need for safe, decent and affordable housing  increases. We realize it is time to move forward, to dream bigger and do better for those in need. At the same time, the cost of construction materials and land  acquisition has gone up, and so we are doubly challenged. That’s why we’re asking you to join us in this challenge by becoming or returning as a member of Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity’s  Carpenter’s Club.

Membership

When you join the Carpenter’s Club you agree to pay a certain pledge amount for the next five houses built by Huntington Area Habitat for Humanity.  At the conclusion of each build we send out invoices to you that indicate all the information about your pledge.
As a Carpenter’s Club member you will receive notification of all our events from house groundbreakings and dedications to all three of our signature fundraising events.  Your pledge will be designated for use to build Habitat homes in our own community, providing a solid financial foundation on which to build.
